01 · The pressure
It starts with the caution
A suspect interview in criminal proceedings begins with the caution, and it has to be understood. Whether anyone in the district is reachable for Tigrinya on a Saturday morning makes no difference to that.
02 · The shortcut
Authorities are already building their own systems
Federal and state governments are building their own AI models for public administration. Translation ranks high on the list, because that is where the shortage is felt most. These systems are coming, regardless of what the profession thinks of them.
03 · Why appeals are not enough
Availability beats argument
A station that reaches nobody at six in the morning decides on the basis of what is available. Anyone who wants to keep the machine out of the interview room has to close the gap it fills.
04 · The answer
People, just as fast
lingomatch makes qualified people as available as a machine would be: within minutes, around the clock, nationwide. Not an appeal to the authority, but an offer that delivers in the same window of time. Only with a human being in it.
Every assignment we place is evidence that the alternative works.
We do not take away work that would exist anyway. We surface work that currently fails on availability: at night, at weekends, in rare languages, outside your own district. This does not replace your existing work at courts and authorities; it is a second door alongside it.

We do not pay you out
No escrow account, no payout account. The contractual relationship is between you and the authority, and they pay you directly. We supply the assignment record as the basis.
A minimum rate raises nothing
You can record a minimum rate. It affects the order when an authority allocates by cost; it does not affect how much you are paid.
We do not recommend remote interpreting everywhere
Where on-site interpreting should remain the norm is set out on every sector page. That judgement is made by the professionals on the ground, not by us.
Before you join the list
The questions that come first.
Do I have to upload documents, and how long does activation take?
Yes. You evidence your sworn status and qualifications at registration and we check them. There is also an automated identity check through a European provider; your document data is processed there and is not held by us. Activation follows within 48 hours once everything has been submitted.
Does signing up cost anything?
No. There is no basic fee, no membership and no minimum turnover. The service fee applies only to completed assignments and amounts to 15 per cent of the net fee.
Do I have to accept requests?
No. There is no obligation to accept, no obligation to give reasons and no penalty. No score, no ranking, no acceptance quota. Declining does not change your position for the next request.
Who pays me, and when?
The authority, directly. No fee income flows through lingomatch. You receive a PDF record for each assignment and issue your own invoice. If the authority pays late, that stays between you and them; we do not collect on your behalf.
What does the authority see about me?
Your name, your verified profile photo and your languages with the corresponding qualification level. Not your phone number, not your address, not your email address and not the minimum rate you have recorded.
What happens if the connection drops?
The room can be re-entered from both sides, by you and by the station. No new request is created, the case stays the same, and time continues to run as agreed.
What do I need technically?
A current browser, a headset and a connection with at least 1.2 Mbit/s download and 1.0 upload at no more than 200 ms latency. There is no app: lingomatch runs in the browser, which also means no push notification to your phone.
