More than 13,000 interpreters are sworn in Germany. Their number is not the problem. The problem is that on a Saturday morning, none of them in the district picks up the phone. lingomatch addresses this in three places.
Today availability is organised regionally: a phone list, an on-call folder, colleagues in the neighbouring district. lingomatch pools interpreters and language mediators on a platform that knows no district boundary.
Your request and the stored criteria produce the selection: language, availability, qualification level and, on request, gender. You determine the order through the allocation mode, not an algorithm.
Allocation modes, pool and documentation follow your rules, not ours. Operation takes place in Germany, either as cloud, as a dedicated instance or on-premise in your own authority network.
Connecting interpreters regardless of location makes procedures considerably easier, an important step towards a modern and capable administration.

Four steps from your authority's point of view. Interpreters work in a separate interface. All data shown is illustrative.
Registration requires language skills at least at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. Four levels build on this, and you choose your minimum requirement from them.
Generally sworn by a regional court. For proceedings in which sworn status matters.
Levels 3 and 4 are requested.
Before the first request there is athreefold check: who the person is, what they can do and whether both still hold.
Automated verification through a European platform used mainly in the financial sector for identity and fraud checks. Identity documents are processed there and are not held by us.
Sworn status and qualifications are evidenced at registration and checked by us. General sworn status can additionally be verified publicly through the German state justice authorities' interpreter and translator database.
Expiry dates for sworn status and security clearance are recorded. When a document expires, the corresponding level only becomes available again once it has been renewed.
On request we document, for each assignment, which credentials were on file at the time of allocation.
Our focus is where appointments are bound by deadlines and languages are rare. Each sector page sets out the procedure and the situations in which we advise on-site interpreting.

Not every situation is suited to video interpreting. For criminal trials, interviews concerning capital and sexual offences, proceedings involving minors, particularly where these are video-recorded, for lengthy hearings of evidence, acute psychiatric situations and prolonged simultaneous interpreting, we continue to recommend on-site interpreting.

A full-screen notice on Section 201 of the German Criminal Code before every join, which everyone must confirm. Without confirmation no connection is established. There is no technical recording block; no video system can provide one.
Audio and video are encrypted on the end devices and our servers carry ciphertext only. Any analysis of the content is therefore technically impossible.
Who was connected with whom, when and for how long is logged. The content of conversations is not. Interpreters have their own audit log.
1.2 Mbit/s download, 1.0 upload and no more than 200 ms latency. Before each call, a device and connection test runs locally in the browser.
